Michael Bastian Spring 2013
Michael Bastian Spring 2013

Spring is around the corner and it would be upon us when the least expected. But fortunately we would be ready when Michael Bastian’s new collection is launched.
For this SS13 Michael has one more time impressed the world and left his followers satisfied with the menswear collection. Bastian understands what men like when it comes to laidback appearance; He tends to blend in the preppy look with the surfer southern California relaxed image which translates to the classic American sportswear for men.  Mixing up the Military shirts, khakis, wool tweed trousers, rugby shirts, ski sweaters, two-button suits, polos, Western shirts, and swim trunks on the runway is no doubt Michael Bastian’s signature.
In this spring collection pastel colors are definitely welcoming the season and setting the spring mood, all the earth tones, different hues of salmon, lavender, and diverse gray tones mixing it with denim and pale yellows making Michael’s outfits ready-to-wear. The style and the shapes for men are remarkable. Bastian clearly knows and understands his customer. His styling and final word for the gentlemen’s appearance is exceptional. Every outfit makes a statement and how Michael plays with the looks shorts with crossed cardigans,  squared Speedos with long sleeves v-neck shirts, the typical popped collar mixed with plaid, deep five button Henley shirt. Cardings are popular on the men’s fashion and we can clearly see it this season, accompanied with fedoras, and prints on upper shoulder. Double breast jackets with patches are coming big and trendy as well as denim blended with blazers.
Bastian’s classic signatures like patterned suits, Fair Isle knits and toggle coats are here and are for spring with an evolutionary prospective from his past collections leaving us wanting more.
